BIRMINGHAM

HELLO ALL!

Sorry it has been a while since we have updated this but we have been busy over the Christmas/new years weeks. And we haven't had internet for a while either.
Unfortunately we don't have net access again, this is costing us money to be on here now, so we won't have any pics this time.. We will hopefully either find a internet cafe soon, or have net at the next stop.

But whats happened since last update..

Well,

We left Amsterdam. Only half an hour late too. Considering the snow had been wreaking havoc on everyone's flight plans we were pretty lucky to get through on a relatively clear morning.

Landed at London Gatwick, where we were met by Ashlinne's cousin Emily, and her boyfriend Nick.
Two of the kindest people we have ever met!
They had come all the way from Oldbury Birmingham to Gatwick, only to pick us up and drive all the way back. this is about a 3hour drive each end!
Not only did they happily pick us up from the airport, they also had a bed made and food in the fridge, all ready for our arrival. Thanks guys :D

We had a great time getting to know Em and Nick and the rest of Emily's family ('The Stickles') in the days leading up to Christmas. We went and had a look around Birmingham city centre, Played some mini golf and laser tag, had some beers and good food.
We had an excellent Christmas day with 'The Stickles'. Started off at minus 10 degrees when we woke, with the city still covered in a foot of snow. And had a traditional English Christmas dinner which was delicious!

Christmas night we moved on to Ashlinne's other family here in England, 'The Jones' spending Christmas night, boxing day and the day after with. A lovely warm home, complete with dog! Boxing day just happened to be the 20th birthday of Ashlinne's cousin Richard. So accordingly we went out to celebrate and had an interesting night in the small English town of Leamington! ;)

After three days with 'The Jones' we returned to Em and Nick's house.

The following day we went to the Black Country Museum, which is an old mining town existing as it would of way back when.

Later that night we went to the Soccer! A genuine English premier league game. And it was EXCELLENT!
Birmingham City v Manchester United.
Final score 1 -1.

a couple things I learned while staying in England.
1. Keith Lemon.
2. Drinking tea.
3. the saying 'well'. -example, 'that was well funny.'

Thanks to Liz, Richard, Nicola and Joe, for an awesome stay in Leamington.
Thanks to 'The Stickles' for an excellent Christmas day.
Thanks to Craig for driving us to and from.
And a huge thanks to Emily and Nick, we can't thank you enough xoxo!

Now we are in Edinburgh, Scotland... update on Scotland soon!!!!
